Luther awards $3,000 scholarship

Luther senior Kyla Grau of Des Moines is the 2017 recipient of the $3,000 Gilman Scholarship.
           
Grau will hold a service learning position as an international development intern this summer in Togo, West Africa. Students involved in the program focus on the issues of HIV/AIDs, community-based initiatives, and human rights. Grau will plan projects, coordinate local volunteers, and perform other tasks to address these problems.

Grau is majoring in music and French at Luther. She is a 2014 graduate of Johnson High School.
