Animal neglect case is being investigated in Winneshiek County

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office has just announced it has assisted the Iowa Department of Agriculture, the State Veterinarian and the State Livestock inspector in an investigation of livestock neglect at a farm in northern Winneshiek County.

The news release from the Sheriff's Office says, "This case is under the supervision of the Iowa Department of Agriculture, which is monitoring the recovery of the livestock with the owners of the animals. The Iowa Department of Agriculture will continue to monitor the situation and provide their assessment to the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office."
