UPDATED INFORMATION: April in Decorah was warm and wet

The pattern of warm and wet weather in Decorah held true in April, according to Decorah meteorologist Richard Bernatz.

Temperatures averaged 51.4 degrees--4.1 degrees above average.  The average low of 40.5 degrees was 5.0 degrees above average, while the average high of 62.3 degrees was 3.2 degrees higher than average.

Temperatures ranged from 25 degrees on April 7th--the coldest temperature of the month--to 76 degrees on April 8th--the highest temperature of the month.  That meant April 2017 is the 15th warmest April on record in 124 years of record keeping.

5.51 inches of precipitation fell during April, which was 2.37 inches above average.  That meant April 2017 is the 14th wettest April on record.  For the past 12 months, precipitation has totaled 28.86 inches above average.
