Amundson's Clothing in downtown Decorah will be expanding, according to owner/operator Ross Hadley.
Hadley says with the recent announcement of the closure of JC Penney's, he made the decision to expand Amundson's into the Good Foot building and move the majority of the Good Foot shoe inventory to their Internet based store. Amundson's will continue to sell shoe brands that are unisex while increasing their selection of basic items such as underwear, socks, jackets, and jeans as well as offering boys clothing, size 8 and up. It will also add a dedicated space for formal wear rentals, engraved gifts and other wedding accessories.
According to Hadley, "We wanted to be sure that people can continue to find what they need downtown, especially items you wear everyday. Decorah will miss Penney's but Amundson's and other Water Street businesses will continue to offer shoppers a reason to come downtown--great products at fair prices. We will be sure to have what you want, when you need it."
