May is Cemetery Appreciation Month in Winneshiek County

The Winneshiek County Board of Supervisors has declared May "Cemetery Appreciation Month."

People across Winneshiek County who are interested in preserving cemeteries for future generations will be planning and participating in activities related to their restoration and maintenance. If you would like to volunteer to help preserve Winneshiek County's cultural heritage in your community, contact your local genealogical association, Winneshiek County Historical Society or the Winneshiek County Pioneer Cemetery Commission.
