Keith Lesmeister's stories have appeared in a number of publications over the years, but MG Press recently published his first book.
"We Could've Been Happy Here" is a collection of stories about life in the contemporary Midwest.
Lesmeister teaches Composition and Literature at Northeast Iowa Community College. In addition, he has taught classes at ArtHaus and performed in the ArtHaus Poetry slam.
Lesmeister is a Luther College graduate and he and his wife, Molly Gallagher, have lived in Decorah for 20 years. Born in North Carolina and raised in Iowa, Keith received his M.F.A. from the Bennington Writing Seminars.
