House moving is half completed

The house which used to be next door to St. Benedict's Church in Decorah is now sitting on a trailer parked in the driveway of a farmhouse north of Decorah.

Aylsworth Trucking has successfully negotiated the challenging first day of the move, including taking the house up Quarry Hill Road.  Thursday's move along Highway 52 to south of Decorah ought to be easier--while it is longer in miles and has heavy traffic, it is without many of the electrical power line issues that slowed progress on Wednesday.

If you're driving on Highway 52 on Thursday, be sure to be alert for possible delays.
