Crews worked Friday near the College Drive Bridge

(Mr. Answer Person has been getting comments and questions about the condition of Decorah's streets):

Mr. Answer Person has two updates on Decorah street projects in the wake of e-mails from residents wondering when various issues will be fixed.

First of all, crews worked Friday to put some expanding foam underneath a concrete slab on the south end of the College Drive Bridge.  The work seems to have minimized complaints about a big bump just after you cross the bridge from West Decorah heading to downtown.

Mr. A.P. can also report work is being done on Fifth Avenue to correct an area of rough road.  The portion of Fifth Avenue being worked on is not too far from the Fifth Avenue Bridge.

See?  Something IS being done to improve Decorah's streets!
