The Winneshiek Medical Center Auxiliary has awarded scholarships to eight local students pursuing health care professions

The Winneshiek Medical Center Auxiliary has awarded scholarships to eight local students pursuing health care professions.

Receiving Auxiliary scholarships were Miriah Hageman, who is attending NICC for Nursing; Laura Francois, who is attending Des Moines University for Physical Therapy; Ryan Hageman, who is attending the University of Iowa for Radiologic Technology; Anna Hovden, who is attending Grand View University for Nursing; Peggy Heiden, who is attending the Chamberlain School of Nursing; Morgan Lensing, who is attending Allen College for Occupational Therapy; and Arianna Rausch, who is attending NICC for Nursing.

In addition, the WMC Auxiliary awarded the Helena Naef scholarship to Teeya Hovden, who is attending University of Iowa for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Proceeds from the Auxiliary's bakeless bake sale, spring brunch and holiday bake sale went toward the 2017 scholarship fund.
