Winneshiek County Democrats adopt six goals for 2017

The Winneshiek County Democratic Party chapter has approved a list of six goals for the organization for the next year.

Local Democrats say they want to identify and help those affected by Iowa's new voter ID laws and they want to organize rural precincts.

The organization also will spend Winneshiek Democratic Party funds on outreach messaging, will educate voters, recruit candidates and will identify which people are able to be "rapid responders," keeping track the votes of area legislators and organizing the response to proposed legislation, both by writing letters to the editor and by notifying other Democrats.
