Three top State FFA awards for the Decorah FFA chapter

Decorah FFA members received three top-three awards at the State FFA Leadership Conference in Ames.

The chapter secretary's book, completed by Decorah FFA Secretary Jaden Anderson, received second place in the state and a gold rating.  The secretary's book is a complete record of an FFA chapter's activities throughout the year, including agendas, reports and minutes of all chapter meetings, chapter FFA roster and copies of all chapter correspondence.

The chapter program of activities team of Maggie Brandel, Hailey Nierling, and Courtney Nordheim received third place. This contest is designed to share the yearly chapter activities and accomplishments in the form of a twelve-minute presentation.

The chapter website, maintained by 2017-2018 Decorah FFA Reporter Julianna Wise, received third place.   Evaluation of the website is based on the content of the website, eye appeal, and the presentation of the website.
