Contracts approved for Decorah Schools personnel

The Decorah Community School Board approved contracts for a range of school personnel on Monday night. This included Administrative Assistants, Bus Drivers, Custodians, Food Service workers, School Nurse, Coaches, and other Support staff. Administration Support, and Administration contracts were also approved. All groups received  package increases consistent with the 1.72 percent increase approved for the Decorah Education Association (teachers).

Administration salaries approved included: Superintendent Mike Haluska, $169,000; Middle School Principal Leona Hoth, $99,560; Assistant High School Principal and Athletic Director Adam Riley, $89,680; High School Principal Kim Sheppard, $121,330; Carrie Lee Elementary Principal Cheryl Miller, $85,055 with additional compensation of $12,206 for North Winneshiek responsibilities; John Cline and West Side Elementary Principal Rick Varney, $102,405; Director of Technology Kurt DeVore, $83,331; Facilitator/Instruction & Assessment Dana Spry, $68,895.
