Posted: Fri, Apr 7, 2017 11:23 AM

A new study group, "Brace for Impact: Strategies for Resilience in Stressful Times," will meet at the NE Iowa Peace & Justice Center at 5:30 p.m. for the next three Mondays.

Decorah local author Mary Jorgensen will lead each session and will examine the four elements of resilience: Spirituality, Authenticity, Gratitude, and Enjoyment.  The class is designed to lead to practices that sustain each individual, with benefits reaching to the wider community.

Jorgensen is a career educator, certified life coach, and designer of personal growth workshops.  She has a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology.

A minimum $5 donation to Northeast Iowa Peace and Justice Center is suggested.  There is no additional charge for the class.

Mary's book can be purchased at Dragonfly Books, 112 W. Water St. in Decorah. Books will also be available for purchase at each class.
