Posted: Thu, Apr 6, 2017 3:57 PM

The Humane Society of Northeast Iowa has started a shoe drive to raise funds for animals in their care, as well as help reduce over-population through their Spay & Neuter Programs.

HSNEI will earn funds based on the total weight of the shoes collected through May 31st as Funds2Orgs will purchase all of the donated footwear.  The money will be used to benefit cats, kittens, dogs and puppies in Allamakee, Clayton, Fayette, Howard and Winneshiek Counties.  Anyone can help by donating gently worn, used or new shoes at the Humane Society's Love & Friendship Adoption Center, located at 2345 Millennium Road in Decorah (off of Highway 9 – east of the airport), or Curves of Decorah , located at 308 College Drive, Suite 6.

All donated shoes will then be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of microenterprise partners in developing nations.
