West Union woman dies from injuries suffered in a Decorah traffic accident last week

A 77-year-old West Union woman has died from injuries suffered in an accident last Tuesday afternoon on Highway 9 in Decorah.

Carolyn Havenstrite had been taken to Winneshiek Medical Center around 3:30 p.m. on March 28th, then airlifted to Gundersen Hospital in La Crosse.  Her condition had initially improved, but hospital officials say Havenstrite has now died.
