Northeast Iowa Rugby Club volunteers for The Spectrum Network

Members of the Northeast Iowa Rugby Club have done some garden clean up on behalf of The Spectrum Network.

Part of the mission of the NE Iowa Rugby Club is to give back to the communities where the players live, so when they heard The Spectrum Network was looking for volunteers preparing for a garden, they were ready to lend a hand. The Rugby Club helped with tilling and patching up the fencing around the garden.

The Spectrum Network is planning to grow fruits and vegetables in a garden and sell the produce at the farmers market in Decorah. They also plan to use the fresh produce in their new community kitchen which is in the works.

The NE Iowa Ruby Club will have a home match Saturday at 1:00 p.m. against Bremer County. The playing field is located on the other side of the dike by the Decorah High School
