Judge dismisses lawsuit against Decorah couple's proposed "Kinnick House"

A Decorah couple has gotten a court ruling that will allow them to proceed with construction of their "Kinnick House" in Iowa City.

The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports that neighbors who had sued to stop Reed and Sandy Carlson from building a home modeled after Kinnick Stadium have had their lawsuit dismissed.

A judge could find no issue with the City of Iowa City issuing a building permit for the house.

Neighbors expressed concern about the home's size, but say they will not appeal the judge's ruling--giving the Carlsons to go-ahead to begin construction.
