Decorah orchestra students selected for Kennedy Honors Orchestra Festival

15 Decorah 7th, 8th and 9th graders in orchestra have been selected to participate in the annual Kennedy Honors Orchestra Festival at Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School on April 4th.  Adrian Huang, Jenna Lundtvedt, Noah Lovelace, Kaia Neal, Delaynee Frey, Lauren Johnson, Lillian Grouws, Kelly Ahrens, Amanda Kavan, Matthew Franzen, Mya Sullivan, Amber Hussain, Anja Madsen, Sofie Grouws and Lily Smith.   

Students are nominated for the orchestra, then audition for chair placement.  Students chosen to perform at the Festival are among the best in the state.  They work with different conductors to gain experience with more complex music.
