Are you thinking of running for public office, such as a city council or school board?  If so, you may be interested in an April 27th class being sponsored by the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce, Northeast Iowa Community College and Upper Explorerland Regional Planning Commission.  Anyone interested in running for an elected office throughout Northeast Iowa is invited to attend.

Presenters for the evening include Oelwein City Administrator Dylan Mulfinger; Elkader City Administrator Jennifer Cowsert; Cresco Mayor Mark Bohle; South Winneshiek School Board member Jennifer Johnson; and Allamakee County Supervisor Larry Schellhammer. The class will address scope of work, budgeting, ethics, conflict of interest, and running an election campaign.  There will also be a chance to ask questions.

Anyone interested in attending can RSVP to Kristina Wiltgen at the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce, 1-563-382-3990, e-mail kristina@decorahareachamber.com, or online at www.decorahareachamber.com/calendar.  Registration deadline is April 13th.
