Decorah JC Penney store to close

JC Penney has announced the locations of the 138 stores it will be closing as part of a restructuring plan--and the JC Penney's store in Decorah is on the list.

The company says approximately 5,000 positions nationwide will be impacted by the store closures, most of which will occur in June. JCPenney says it will begin its liquidation on April 17th.  It will also look for relocation opportunities within the company for its workers and will also offer outplacement support services for its workers who will be leaving the company.
