A two-vehicle accident on Highway 9 near Ridgewood Drive on Wednesday resulted in charges being filed against two Decorah residents.
Decorah Police say their investigation revealed that the driver of the car that rear ended another car--24-year-old Christopher Kammerer of Decorah--was driving on a suspended license. Kammerer was arrested for Driving with a Suspended License and was ticketed for using a cell phone while driving, which carries a $100 fine. The owner of the car Kammerer was driving, 22-year-old Christa Nelson of Decorah, was ticketed for permitting an unauthorized person to drive the vehicle, which carries a $330 fine.
Both vehicles involved in the accident were totaled in the collision.
