Two Luther College students have been named "Peace Scholars"

Luther College juniors Bakhita Soares and Billy Jeide will join students from seven other U.S. colleges and universities for a summer of study in Norway.

They will spend one week at the Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue in Lillehammer and six weeks at the University of Oslo.

Soares comes from East Timor and wants to return there to share what she learns this summer about peaceful dialogue.

Jeidi has spent time in Peru and wants to work in South America after graduation.
