Four Decorah HS speech students chosen for All-State

Four Decorah High School students will make the trip to Cedar Falls on Monday, March 27th, to perform at the All-State Speech Festival on the UNI campus.

Receiving invitations are Emma Fretheim in literary program, Jenna Galligan in acting, Sawyer Vanden Brink in improvisation, and Richard Weis in storytelling.

These students received outstanding ballots at the recent Northeast District State Individual Speech contest in Forest City.  They will represent the Viking speech team in Cedar Falls at All-State, which features performances by the best speech students from across the state.

Decorah High School's individual speech participants are coached by Molly Holkesvik, Carrie Kauffman, Gabe Twedt and Kristen Underwood.
