Traffic accident causes $3,000 in damages

Decorah Police were called to an accident at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Police say 16-year-old Jada Bushman of Calmar was eastbound on Heivly Street and 61-year-old Vicky Hinsenbrock of Decorah was northbound on Court Street. Hinsenbrock stopped at the stop sign and then proceeded to turn left onto Heivly Street when she struck Bushman's vehicle. Hinsenbrock stated that she looked for oncoming traffic but her view was obstructed by the cars parked along the south curb of Heivly Street. 

No one was injured or ticket, but the accident did cause a total of $3,000 in damages.
