"Spamalot" auditions will be held next week

New Minowa Players will be holding auditions next week for its summer musical, Monty Python's "Spamalot."

Those interested in auditioning should prepare 16 bars of a musical selection to be sung a cappella. Wear comfortable clothing, be prepared to learn a short movement sequence and read from the script.

The show calls for an ensemble of approximately 35 performers. A company of pre-show players may be cast which will require a shorter rehearsal commitment. Due to the mature (or immature) nature of this musical comedy, only those 18 and older are invited to audition. While many of the leads and featured roles are written for men, cross-gender casting will be considered when possible.

Rehearsals will begin in late April or early May, with performances June 22nd, 23rd and 24th.
