South Winneshiek Future Farmers of America members qualify for a district contest

Three South Winneshiek FFA members have qualified to compete in the Northeast District FFA contest on Saturday in Monticello.

Carson Brincks competed in Creed Speaking and will be advancing to Districts; Hanna Schmitt competed in Extemporaneous Speaking and will be advancing to Districts; and Skyler Luzum competed in Job Interview and will also be advancing to districts.

South Winn FFA members Olivia Massman, Gracie Schmitt and Makayla Hageman competed in the "Growing Leaders, Building Communities and Strengthening Agriculture" category and placed as District alternates. Also competing at last weekend's sub-Districts were Dalyn Wurzer in Ag Broadcasting and Anna-Britt Lien in Ag Sales. FFA members Jenna Knutson and Sarah Hertges took the chapter quiz and Lucas Wiedow, Luke Meyer and Hanna Hageman took the Greenhand Quiz.
