North Winneshiek board sets 2017-2018 school calendar

The North Winneshiek School Board has approved the 2017-2018 school
calendar for the district.
The first day of school will be Wednesday, August 23rd, and the last day will be Thursday, May 24th, 2018. There will be 180 days of instruction with one hour late starts each Wednesday for consistent professional development time for teaching staff.
The school board also approved updating the reciprocal sharing agreement with Mabel-Canton to include grades 7-12 for the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 school years. 7-12 Grade students will continue to have a choice to attend either Decorah or Mabel-Canton for the next two years.
