If you're a tourist visiting Decorah, chances are good that you're here on a weekend. But the Visitors Center operated by the Winneshiek County Convention and Visitors Bureau wasn't always open on weekends in the past.
WCCVB Exectuvie Director Charlene Selbee says that's all changed--thanks to around 50 volunteers. They are staffing the office on West Water Street throughout the year. Selbee says the Visitors Center is now open 361 days a year, closing only on four holidays.
The information was part of Selbee's annual report to the Decorah City Council on Monday night.
