Northeast Iowa Community Based Dairy Foundation receives grant

Farm Credit Services has awarded a $2,000 grant to the Northeast Iowa Community Based Dairy Foundation.

The money will be used to produce and install educational signage throughout the Iowa Dairy Center's nutrition room and Hall of Breeds area. These areas are crucial for the Iowa Dairy Story program, which targets third through fifth grade children, and offers them an interactive nutritional experience about the value of dairy products in a healthy diet and explores a journey of how milk is produced.

"Providing the general public and youth with easy-to-understand information about the dairy food group and dairy cows helps to further our mission of connecting with consumers," said Northeast Iowa Community Based Dairy Foundation coordinator Megan Kregel.
