Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Decorah adds an Assistant Pastor

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Decorah has added an Assistant Pastor.  Rev. Marion Pruitt-Jefferson has begun a one-year contract to serve as an assistant pastor at the church. 

The position will be funded by donations. The church council says it will work to raise funds for the position into the future.

Rev. Pruitt-Jefferson will share in pastoral care and visitation with Lead Pastor Amy Zalk Larson. In Rev. Laron's absence, Rev. Pruitt-Jefferson will preach and lead Sunday worship services as well as mid-week services during Lent and Advent. She will also lead Adult Bible Study and Confirmation as needed, and will be working with the Social Justice and Adult Forum Subcommittees.
