While at the Winneshiek County Jail, a Fort Atkinson resident gets two more criminal charges filed

26-year-old Astyn Rouse of Fort Atkinson was already in custody at the Winneshiek County Jail on Saturday morning.  Rouse was taken into custody January 20th, charged with 3rd Degree Burglary and Controlled Substance Violation-Marijuana with the intent to manufacture or deliver, both Class D Felonies, and for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Meth, a Serious Misdemeanor.  The charges were filed in connection with an incident in Highlandville.

Saturday morning shortly after 7:15, Rouse was charged with 5th Degree Criminal Mischief and with Interference with Official Acts.  The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says Rouse destroyed jail property, then interfered with the actions of the jail staff.  Rouse remains at the Winneshiek County Jail.
