Decorah High School inducts 46 new members into the National Honor Society

The Decorah High School chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 46 new members at ceremonies on Thursday night.

In order to be inducted into the National Honor Society, a student must have maintained a 3.5 grade point average and be selected by a faculty committee on the basis of leadership, scholarship, character, and service to others.

The current National Honor Society members are Josephine Berlage, Sylvia Betteridge, Brenna Betts, Devin Brevig, Augusta Casterton, Claudia Cowie, Lindsay Elsbernd, Jason Elsbernd, Marissa Foels, Ross Gentry, Parker Grinna, Anne Gullekson, Natalie Heffern, Myla Helzer, Emily Holthaus, Abby Hudson, Isabel Iverson, Madelyn Jermier, Helen Johnson, Kylie Kerndt, Lydia Kleckner, Adam Krieger, Maria Lee, Ben Leschensky, Lexie Leuenberger, McKinley Lillegraven, Morgan Minear, Isaiah Mitchell, Rylee Monteith, Brendan Numedahl, Kayla Quandahl, Kally Peterson, Kirstyn Samuelson, Shane Sexton, Blake Schmelzer, Ellyson Shelton, Elizabeth Smith, Anna Spencer, Paul Strand, Kayla Walter, Everett Wegge, Richard Weis, and Spencer Weis.

The new National Honor Society senior inductees for this year are Robert Berger, Indigo Fish, Jacob Roher, and Marissa Weis.
