Community Service Award presented to Amy Ryan

The Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce has presented an Outstanding Community Service Award to Amy Ryan.

She was recognized for her service to multiple organizations year after year.  Ryan has made quilts and quilt tops to benefit organizations including the Humane Society of NE IA, St. John's and Hague churches and the Mission Quilt program of Lutheran World Relief.  In addition, she donates her time to help maintain the Decorah Public Library flower pots and knits scarves for the Scarves in the Park project.

The Chamber also recognized outgoing board members Doug Van Sloten, Kate Rattenborg and Maria Smith and 2016 board President Dominique Bockman.
