RAGBRAI is coming to Northeast Iowa next summer

RAGBRAI 45 will be visiting Howard, Winneshiek and Allamakee counties.

At a party in Des Moines on Saturday, organizers announced the bike ride across Iowa will take a northern route in July.

The ride will begin July 23rd in Orange City, then travel 411 miles along the top two northern tiers of counties in Iowa.  Organizers say the bikers will make an overnight stay in Cresco on Thursday, July 26th, in Waukon on Friday, July 27th, and in Lansing on Saturday, July 28th.

RAGBRAI's eight overnight towns on the 2017 route were announced Saturday night.  The exact route, which will pass through Winneshiek County, but exactly where is still a mystery, will be announced in March.
