The word is spreading about Decorah and Winneshiek County

The Winneshiek County Convention and Visitors Bureau hosted a Midwest Travel Bloggers #MWTravel Chat on Wednesday, and they are very pleased with the results.

The purpose of the chat was to promote all that Decorah and Winneshiek County have to offer, especially as we enter the wedding season. WCCVB Executive Director Charlene Selbee says the immediate results are impressive -- 55 contributors, 680 tweets, 208,736 accounts reached, and 2.1 million impressions -- all from the 60 minute chat.

Selbee says she's thrilled with the results. "The chat was very beneficial for our area. Lots of Midwest travel writers participated and shared pictures and information about Decorah and Winneshiek County. They mentioned things like Taste of Winneshiek, Women's Weekend Out, and The Winneshiek Wedding Market. People shared about their visits to the area and now others want to come and see it for themselves."
