Michael Bergan begins work as a State Representative

Michael Bergan has officially started his work in the Iowa House of Representatives - House District 55. His family was in attendance in the balcony when he recently took the oath of office in Des Moines.

Bergan's week one newsletter states, "I will be serving as Vice-Chairman of the Human Resources Committee and as a member on the State Government, Ways and Means, and Health and Human Services Sub-appropriations committees. I am thankful for my past experience in county government and children's services which have provided a good foundation for my work in the Legislature."

Bergan is a lifelong resident of Winneshiek County and a graduate of Decorah High School and Luther College.
