Volunteers are needed to deliver meals to the home bound in Decorah.

Northeast Iowa Agency on Aging relies on volunteers to deliver healthy meals to the elderly, which helps the elderly stay in their own homes longer.  Over 400 meals are delivered in Decorah each month.

Volunteers are needed to serve once a week or once a month or as needed.  Scheduling of volunteers is done monthly and can be flexible.  When scheduled, volunteers go to the senior meal site to pick up the meals around 10:00 a.m.

Volunteers deliver meals on a specific route.  Each route takes approximately one hour to complete.  Volunteers can deliver alone or in pairs.  Volunteers will be trained for the responsibility.
