The Winneshiek County Convention and Visitors Bureau takes to Twitter

The Winneshiek County Convention and Visitors Bureau will be hosting the Midwest Travel Bloggers #MWTravel Chat on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until noon on Twitter.

The focus of January's #MWTravel Chat is wedding planning.  The WCCVB will be using the Twitter platform to promote Decorah and Winneshiek County as a wedding destination.

Winneshiek County Conservation and Visitors Bureau Director Charlene Selbee says, "The #MWTravel Chat provides a unique opportunity for WCCVB tourism partners to share their stories and venues in order to catch the attention of travel bloggers and writers. In turn, they can help spread the word about Decorah and Winneshiek County in their writing and blog posts. The #MWTravel Chat is an inexpensive way to reach many people quickly, broadly, and effectively."

Selbee says the WCCVB participated in two #MWTravel Chats in 2016. In the first eight days following their February Chat, almost 200,000 accounts were reached as a result of 51 contributors, 507 Tweets, and over one million impressions - all about Decorah and Winneshiek County.
