Drones are becoming more mainstream.
If you wanted proof of that, you needed to look no further than "Drone Discovery Day," a class recently put on for fourth through seventh grade 4-H members.
The kids who attended learned about the basics of drone parts, drone safety and the uses of drones.
Guest speakers included former 4-H member Daiton Tietz, who owns a drone that is used for farming purposes; Decorah Fire Department members Marcus Hageman and Zach Kerndt, who spoke about how their department uses their drone, and Decorah Police officer Scott Hermann, who talked about drone safety and laws covering the operation of drones.
