Carol e-mails: "Do you know if Boy Scouts are picking up Christmas trees this week? Haven't noticed anything in media about it."
Mr. Answer Person says: "That's because we've all been busy drinking eggnog! Yes, local Boy Scouts will be picking up the trees this coming weekend. If you are wanting to dispose of your live Christmas tree, remove all the lights and ornaments and place the tree at your curb by 8:30 a.m. this Saturday. This is a free service, but donations can be made to the Boy Scouts."
Mr. Answer Person also should note that if you're strong enough to carry your own Christmas tree to your truck or car, you can drop it off at the City Street Department office on Railroad Avenue until February 1st.
