Emily Kurash named director of Winona Main Street program

A former staffer at the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce has been named to a top post in Winona.

The La Crosse Tribune reports that Emily Kurash will begin working next Tuesday as the Main Street coordinator in Winona.

The Main Street Program works to create partnerships among downtown business owners and residents, city officials and community leaders.  The goal is to promote Winona's downtown district.

Kurash worked for the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce through 2014.
