The Decorah Fire Department was called out around 1:30 Monday morning to a large shed on fire at the home of Terry and Judith Tesar at 3047 Middle Sattre Road.
When Decorah firefighters arrived, they found an approximately 140 foot by 35 foot building totally engulfed in flames, with the roof collapsed. Firefighters protected a nearby building as well as two 1,000 gallon LP tanks.
The building and its contents, which included two vehicles, a skid steer loader and five peacocks, were completely destroyed. There were no injuries reported. There is no damage estimate at this time. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Decorah Fire Department was assisted by the Mabel Fire Department, Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department, Decorah/Winneshiek County Dispatch Center, Winneshiek Medical Center Ambulance and The Winneshiek County Road Department.
