(Lee e-mails: "I have a question that may be of interest to your other readers. I'm curious about order of placements of news items. It appears that news stories are not listed in chronological order as I would think they may be. So what's the rationale for placements of news stories?")
Mr. Answer Person says: "There's a reason you're noticing this now. Actually, there are a couple of reasons--Sara Peterson and Becky Vande Lune! We're excited to announce that they've joined the staff of decorahnews.com as reporters and writers, joining Bob Felde and Paul Scott.
So what do Sara and Becky have to do with the order of placement of news stories? With four people writing stories now, there are a lot of stories being posted. We're writing stories constantly, but some stories take a few days to complete. So even though you might see "Posted Friday," the story was begun on Friday, but posted on Monday.
I hope that explains what's happening, but here's the big picture: we're excited that Sara and Becky have joined our staff--and you'll be excited by getting even more news stories on decorahnews.com in the future!"
