Mediacom officials say the problems they experienced in Decorah in early November have been resolved.
Mediacom Des Moines Director of Communications Phyllis Peters says the "network balancing" that had to be done in November resulted in "variances in data speed" in the Decorah area, but such work has been completed and "the issues have been resolved."
Peters says the company looked at customer service calls during November and saw no increases from September or October. Speed tests done on the system have shown it's operating the way it should now, she says.
Mediacom plans to begin offering the higher speed residential service in Decorah in January.
