Warm weather continues in Decorah

Decorah's heat wave continues.

Decorah meteorologist Richard Bernatz says the average temperature in Decorah in November was 43.8 degrees.  That made November the second warmest November in Decorah in the 123-year history of temperature record keeping.

Bernatz says the thermometer reached 72 degrees on November 1st--the warmest temperature of the month.  The temperature fell to 15 degrees on November 21st.

1.48 inches of precipitation fell in Decorah in November--more than half of that total coming on November 28th.  The monthly total was 0.38 inches less than average.  November 2016 was slightly below average for precipitation when the 123 years of weather statistics are compared.
