ArtHaus names new director

Shannon Dallenbach Durbin

ArtHaus has hired an Elkader woman as its new Director.

Shannon Dallenbach Durbin worked most recently as a Program Coordinator for the Iowa State University Extension Office in Elkader.  She has a degree in Art Education from the University of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota.

"Shannon brings deep passion and experience fostering community arts," says ArtHaus Board President Carolyn Corbin.

Dallenbach Durbin will begin her role with ArtHaus on Friday, December 16th, taking over for Co-Directors Jenni and Eric Petersen-Brant.

The Petersen-Brants have begun work as Marketing and Development Consultants with the Chatfield Center for the Arts in Chatfield.  They will end their administrative duties at ArtHaus in December. The couple plan to continue living in Decorah, teaching for ArtHaus, and working to build Decorah and the region as an arts and culture destination.
