Five Cresco residents arrested on theft charges in theft from Decorah WalMart

The Decorah Police Department has arrested five Cresco residents for allegedly taking several shopping carts of merchandise estimated to be worth up to $10,000 from the Decorah WalMart.

Police say they have charged 33-year-old James Tyree, 26-year-old Patrick Colvin and 29-year-old William Colvin Junior, all of Cresco, with 2nd Degree Theft--a Class D Felony.  Also charged were 26-year-old Kendra Collett of Cresco, who faces charges of 2nd Degree Theft, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and 28-year-old Kelsey Buck of Cresco, who faces charges of 2nd Degree Theft, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Decorah Police say they used surveillance video and witness statements of WalMart employees in their investigation.  They were issued search warrants on November 16th for three different homes in Cresco.  Police say they were able to recover a portion of the stolen WalMart property at all three residences.
