Turkey Valley graduate awarded a scholarship from Upper Iowa University

Upper Iowa University has presented 2016 Turkey Valley High School graduate Teresa Hageman with the Carlton W. Knight and Maxine R. Knight Endowed Scholarship.

Teresa is the daughter of Randy and Gayle Hageman of Hawkeye.  She is a UIU freshman majoring in graphic design. Prior to graduating from Turkey Valley, Hageman participated in National Honor Society, track and yearbook. At Upper Iowa, she has been volunteering for community projects and activities.

The Knight Endowed Scholarship pays tribute to Carlton W. Knight and Maxine R. Knight, proprietors of the former Knight Hardware in Fayette.  The annual award, which benefits an incoming UIU student, was established in 2004 by son Dr. Kip Knight '62 and Eileen Knight.
