Josey Jewell has been named a semifinalist for the Butkus Award

Decorah native and University of Iowa junior linebacker Josey Jewell has been named a semifinalist for the 2016 Butkus Award, the award presented annually to the nation's best linebacker.

Finalists for the award will be announced on Monday, November 21st, with the winner being announced on or before December 6th.
 
Jewell (6-foot-2, 230-pounds) has started every game this season and is second in the Big Ten with 77 tackles.
