Postville 12-year-old arrested at Crossroads Academy in Decorah

Decorah Police are releasing details about an assault that occurred Friday at the Crossroads Academy in Decorah.

Police received a call from the school around 9:00 a.m.  When officers arrived on the scene, they took a 12-year-old Postville resident into custody.  Police say the youth had assaulted three separate school staff members, none of whom were seriously injured.

The Postville boy has been charged with three counts of simple assault and has been referred to Juvenile Court.
